Globle
Find the country by how hot your guesses are.
Globle is a daily geography game where you find a mystery country by temperature. Every country you guess is painted onto a 3D globe in a shade from cool to hot depending on how close it is to the answer — the redder it gets, the closer you are. There is no outline, no distance in kilometres and no guess limit: you keep guessing until you land on it, and your score is how many guesses it took. Created by Abe Train in January 2022, it is the calmer, more exploratory sibling to Worldle.
How to play Globle
- Type a country and confirm it. It appears on the globe coloured by proximity to the secret country.
- Spin the globe (drag it) to see where your guess landed and how hot the colour is.
- Guess a country in the hotter direction. Each new guess adds another colour reading, so you are effectively drawing a heat map.
- Keep going until the mystery country turns up. There is no limit; a good day is done in four or five guesses.
- A new country is chosen every day. The game also tracks your average and streak.
How the colours work
- The colour is based on the distance between the closest borders of the two countries, so a neighbour is always the hottest possible shade short of the answer itself.
- A guess that borders the answer glows almost red — when you see that, the answer is one of that country's neighbours.
- Big countries make good early guesses because their borders touch many regions, giving a wide-area reading.
Tips to get better at Globle
- Start with two or three large countries spread across the world (for instance one in Africa, one in Asia, one in the Americas) to get a rough continent immediately.
- Once a guess is warm, guess its neighbours rather than distant countries — every neighbour guess either solves it or tells you which side to move.
- Do not ignore small countries and islands; they are legitimate answers and often the reason a "hot" region takes several extra guesses.
- Use the globe's rotation. Hot spots are easy to miss on the far side; spin fully around before choosing the next guess.
- Learn who borders whom in tricky regions (the Balkans, Central Asia, West Africa). Most long games come down to border knowledge, not geography trivia.
Frequently asked questions
How many guesses do you get in Globle?
Unlimited. Your score is the number of guesses it took, so fewer is better.
Globle vs Worldle — which is harder?
Worldle's silhouette plus distance and direction usually solve faster for people who know shapes; Globle needs border knowledge and feels more like exploring. Try both — they are different skills.
Is Globle free?
Yes, it is free in the browser at globle-game.com, with no account required.
